FMEP and LPL Financial Present Inaugural Strawberry Sprint & Stroll Event

Fort Mill, SC—A new event will be coming to Fort Mill to serve as the official kick-off to the South Carolina Strawberry Festival week of activities. The Strawberry Sprint and Stroll 5K and Fun Run will take place in the historic downtown corridor on Saturday, April 25.

The course begins and ends on Confederate Street and includes nearby residential streets. A runner’s village featuring music, food, and local vendors will be located in the municipal lot behind Main Street’s Improper Pig and Amor Artis locations. These two local businesses will also sponsor a race after-party. Berry B. Good, Fort Mill’s cheerful strawberry mascot, and the reigning Strawberry Queens will also be part of the festivities.

Fort Mill Economic Partners Announce New Name & Community Resource Website

Fort Mill, SC—Fort Mill Economic Partners, formerly Fort Mill Economic Council, announced the change of the organization’s name and the launch of its new community-resource-based website, www.fortmillep.org.

The change of name from “Council” to “Partners” was made to more accurately describe the work of the board of directors, which is made of up business leaders from some of Fort Mill’s top companies.
