Fort Mill Economic Partners Announce New Name & Community Resource Website
Fort Mill, SC—Fort Mill Economic Partners, formerly Fort Mill Economic Council, announced the change of the organization’s name and the launch of its new community-resource-based website, www.fortmillep.org.
The change of name from “Council” to “Partners” was made to more accurately describe the work of the board of directors, which is made of up business leaders from some of Fort Mill’s top companies.
The new website features tools for existing business and for those looking to relocate or expand. Community demographics, a commercial property search engine, comprehensive local, county, state, and federal tax incentive program listings, and a job listing page for businesses looking to fill positions and job-seekers alike are just a few of the features of the new site.
Executive Director LeAnne Burnett Morse heralded the new website for its tool-based approach. “We’re excited that businesses, those that currently call Fort Mill home and those that are thinking about locating here, now have a single hub where they can access a broad spectrum of information and incentive programs, seek out new commercial space, and learn more about the demographic make-up of the Town of Fort Mill and Fort Mill Township as a whole and how their business can thrive here. This website will connect business owners to the resources they need, including a direct conduit to job applicants in our local and very diverse talent pool. And our new name is indicative of the spirit of cooperation and partnership we can offer the business community as we all work toward smart economic growth.”
The website highlights local businesses with direct links to each company’s website. It also connects users directly with further resources available through the governments of the Town of Fort Mill and York County. Business owners can list job opportunities that will be cross-promoted on FMEP’s social media channels and episodes of Fort Mill Business Today and Carmen Miller’s Talk of the Town will be available for streaming.
